REAL FAITH IS NOT BLIND

” Hebrews 11.1

EXPOSITION OUTLINE: There are three things about the faith of the Christian that you would do well to keep in mind:

1A. First, IT IS GROUNDED IN EVIDENCE (Heb 11.1)

2A. Second, IT IS RESULTING FROM REASON (Isaiah 1.18)

Finally, IT IS GIVEN BY GOD (Romans 10.17 & Ephesians 2.8) TOPICAL OUTLINE: To give you an overview of how faith is exhibited in the life of one man, let me set before you for consideration the prototype in the Bible of faith, Abraham. I want to show you these four types of faith so you can see how

* real faith would be operative in your own life.

1A. First, THERE IS SEEKING FAITH (Heb 11.8; Gen 12.1)

2A. Next, THERE IS SAVING FAITH (Gen 15.6; Romans 4.3; Galatians 3.6)

3A. Third, THERE IS STRIKING EVIDENCE FAITH (Gen 22.2; Heb 11.17; James 2.21-23)

4A. Finally, THERE IS STAYING FAITH (Heb 11.9)
